The humanizing character [of NFP methods] is all the more obvious from the fact that using them requires and strengthens the harmony of the married couple, it helps and confirms the rediscovery of the marvellous gift of parenthood, it involves respect for nature and demands the responsibility of the individuals. According to many authoritative opinions, they also foster more completely that human ecology which is the harmony between the demands of nature and personal behaviour.

Celebrate God’s Design: National NFP Awareness Week • July 19–25, 2026

National Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week is here! This year’s theme, “Natural Family Planning: Designed by God, Guided by Love, Open to Life,” invites us to celebrate God’s beautiful plan for married love and the gift of life.

Sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), this annual observance highlights the many spiritual, relational, and health benefits of Natural Family Planning. NFP respects God’s design for marriage, strengthens communication between spouses, fosters openness to life, and helps women better understand their reproductive health. The week also commemorates the anniversary of Humanae vitae (July 25), St. Paul VI’s encyclical on married love and responsible parenthood.

The Parish Evangelization Service Team is here to support you with NFP resources, parish materials, information on approved methods, and connections to local instructors.

Please review our NFP providers or sign up for an upcoming NFP introductory course.
