Vatican II Lecture Series

Special regional lecture series, to be livestreamed via the Internet and viewed in parishes.

• 1-hour course is offered over four Tuesdays during Lent 2013
• The live course will be filmed at Holy Spirit Church in Overland Park and broadcast live over the Internet. Viewing sessions will be held in individual parishes by request.

As the Year of Faith commemorates the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Second Vatican Council, this lecture series is designed to introduce Catholics to the key documents and themes of the Council. Join Archbishop Emeritus James P. Keleher and Father John Melnick, Donnelly College chaplain and theology faculty member, for a live course on the Second Vatican Council. Participants will gain an understanding of the impact and implications of the teachings of Vatican II, and see how they affect the Church today. The coursework includes reading documents from the Second Vatican Council and will include lecture notes from each evening's presentation. Parishes, small groups and individuals outside of the area are invited to participate in the lecture series via live stream at resources.archkck.org/live.
