Catholics are charitable during life and are capable of significant gifts at death. Don't forget to remind faithful Catholics to consider a gift in their will. The best indicator of a person's likelihood of making a gift at death is that they were a good steward throughout their lives. Many donors say their inspiration for making gifts is simple: they were asked. The Office of Stewardship and Development and the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas (CFNEK) have resources to help promote legacy gifts and manage endowments, scholarship funds, named funds and planned gifts.
The following resources for promoting gifts at death and to endowments, as well as tools for building a Parish Legacy Society, are available online at www.cfnek.org/resources. Resources not available online can be requested by calling the Stewardship and Development office at (913) 647-0325.
