The Gathering for Mental Health:

A Faith-Filled Response to Mental Illness

When:

Thursday, April 23, 2015, 7:30 to 9:00 am

Program begins promptly at 8:00 am with a light, complimentary breakfast provided.

Why:

  • Because… At least 1 in 5 people in your congregation suffers from a mental illness, and you want them all to receive intentional, compassionate care.

  • Because… Studies show that a majority of people who seek outside help for a mental health issue will first turn to you as their pastor, priest or rabbi.

  • Because… It is better to guide one family to get help than to help your whole assembly cope with one suicide.

Pastors, Priests, Rabbis, Clergy and Lay Leaders

What:

  • An interfaith Gathering of Johnson County Faith Leaders.
  • That equips you to give effective support when dealing with mental health issues.
