"Living in Love" Retreats

Discover what over 700 couples in Northeast Kansas have learned: it is possible to be IN LOVE every day!

Living in Love is a parish-based weekend retreat experience for married couples. Presenter couples share insights from science, theology and their own experience, and couples have time to reflect together on the different topics:

  • What are the resources we already have to Live in Love every day?
  • What influences from our families of origin help and hinder us from living in love?
  • What are the cultural barriers that hinder us from living in love?
  • What damages trust and what helps us build more trust in our relationship?
  • How do we effectively heal hurts between us?
  • How do we heal hurts from outside our relationship such as in-laws?
  • How do we proactively build a culture of seeing the good in one another?
  • How do we tap into the grace that God offers us through the Sacrament of Matrimony?
  • What practical strategies can we implement right now to build a culture of love and respect in the home?

Retreat times vary slightly by location, but the average weekend meets 8am-9pm on Saturday and 8am-4pm on Sunday (includes Sunday Mass). Cost is $75/couple, which covers retreat materials, breakfast both days and a romantic dinner on Saturday evening. Couples bring lunch. Overnight accomodations are not provided (most couples sleep at home). For questions, call Brad DuPont, Office of Marriage and Family Life: (913) 647-0301.

All 'Living in Love' Retreats are currently canceled due to restrictions on social gatherings.

NOTE: Living in Love is designed for married couples, or couples preparing to have their marriages convalidated in the Church. For information on the companion program for the Engaged, talk to your pastor or click here.
