My House Video
In 2015, Archbishop Naumann asked all priests in NE Kansas to show the new My House video during Mass. We pray that many families will be protected, and we have heard great feedback from many priests and parishioners. The My House video is available for other dioceses to adapt and customize at no charge, and please contact Sam Meier for more information.
My House Printed Resources
20,000 copies of the following items were sent to parishes throughout NE Kansas in 2015. These brochures and cards were aimed at equipping parents with practical resources after watching the My House video. These items are available for other dioceses to customize and adapt, and please contact Sam Meier for more information.
In addition to the above resources, the following resources were designed for parishes to protect families and marriages from pornography:
Additional Resources for Priests and Leaders
- 80-page My House Manual - This is the original My House Manual that was courageously written by the Archdiocesan My House Taskforce in 2006.
- CovenantEyes.com produced a top-notch Catholic parent workshop kit called UNFILTERED: Equipping Parents for an Ongoing Conversation about Internet Pornography. Read more about UNFILTERED here. Pastors, parish staff and volunteers can easily conduct an effective video-based training for parishes and Catholic schools using the Unfiltered DVD and parent guide book. Also, Sam Meier is available to provide presentations for parents at parishes and Catholic schools, and he has provided many internet safety presentations in the KC area and nationally.
- Chelsea Pratt, a youth minister from Church of the Ascension in Overland Park, gave an inspiring presentation in the summer of 2013 called Using Social Media Wisely. Chelsea has been working in youth ministry for nearly 10 years, and has provided leadership and dynamic presentations at the Youth for Truth conference in Kansas City. She collaborated with multiple teens in her youth group for this helpful presentation, and here is the PowerPoint from Using Social Media Wisely.
