My advice to men considering the priesthood:
Simple: Listen. In the silence of our heart, the Holy Spirit speaks to us clearly. The problem is, so many of us do not give him a chance. We fill our would with noise: TV, Video Games, Music, Cell Phones; you name it. When we take time, encounter our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and truly try to listen to the voice that speaks from within, then we truly find out what God's will is for us. From there, the only other requirement is courage: courage do what Christ has asked. It is in this, this obedience to the Word of God, this dialogue between Jesus and me, that true peace will be found.

Why I want to be a priest:
My first thoughts of the Priesthood were when I was in the 4th grade. After much anticipation, I had the opportunity finally to serve at Mass, and it was there, on the altar, as I knelt next to the Priest that I first got the inkling that this might be where I am called to be for the rest of my life. Throughout the rest of my youth, this desire grew and grew, and finally, when I was decided where I would go to College, I knew that I had no other option than to pursue this path. God had been calling me in the depths of my heart for a very long time, and it was finally time to respond with my whole self. So, I applied, was accepted and went to Conception Seminary College right out of High School. Graduating in 2015, I entered Kenrick that year, and have been studying with great joy ever since. The fundamental reason that I want to be a priest, is because I believe that God is calling me to be an instrument, living and breathing, of his salvation for the whole world. I want to save souls, spreading the love of Christ to all those I encounter.
