My advice to men considering the priesthood:
Go for it, because God has a special plan for you. There is no better place to discern what His plan is for you than the seminary. God's plan will be what makes us the most happy and most fulfilled in life, so we should seek to find out what his plan is for us, and what better place to do that then somewhere that fosters prayer and a relationship with God, and that is full of other people seeking the same thing and facing the same trials as you.

Why I want to be a priest: I want to be a priest because of the Eucharist. There is nothing more beautiful or profound as God, creator of all seen and unseen, first dying so we could be with Him when we die, and then coming here to earth everyday as simple bread and wine so He can be with us while we live. To be the person who through the power of God consecrates that bread and wine into God himself and then carries that to the God's people - I ask how could you not want that, especially when there are six other sacraments where you get to bring God to His people and the people to God.

Those who influenced my vocation: Really the greatest influences on my vocation were my parish priests Fr. Storey and Fr. Anthony. To see how they not only loved God in word, but lived out that love with their whole lives was truly inspiring. And really to look at the face of a priest who truly loves God and loves being His priest, during the consecration is like looking at a mirror angled right up at God.

Hobbies & Interests: Reading, video games, origami, music, and woodworking.
